I Wish I Were A Soldier

Okay, so considering that there is (well, was, it's mostly simmered down now) a war going on, you would think this would not be a large attraction, but no no. I dream of being stuck out on the front line with a knife, a gun, and a few grenades, to most likely get shot by an AK-47 and be eternally paralysed or something equally uncomfortable. I want to wear the uniform and be patriotic. I want to hold my friend as he dies from being shot in the liver, his blood smearing all over my hands. I want to take vengeance for his death. I want to be mentally scarred by what I see. I want to know what it smells like to be standing right beside a mass grave. I want to have an immediate and inexplicable bond with almost everyone who is fighting on "my side". I want to learn to sleep with the sounds of screams, explosions and gunfire in the background. I want this more than anything I've ever wanted.

Do you believe in past lives? Do you believe they can affect us in this life?

I think I'm seriously starting to.
